Q: I am donating $1 per touchdown, do I really make a donation after every touchdown?

A: No. Sports actions (touchdowns in your case) do trigger actions in the platforms, but they do not trigger actual donations until you accrue at least $25 for a given charity. Until then your totals for each charity you support accrue in the platform but are not paid out at all.

You can actually increase, decrease or cancel your donations before they are paid. ScoreSide will also not charge your donation until all of the accrued triggers are at least 3 days old [we don’t want you to be overwhelmed by a shockingly good blowout for your team before you wake up in the morning]

Q: Can I leave campaign before it’s over?

A: Absolutely. You can join and leave a campaign anytime. When you leave you can decide to leave your current pending donations alive for later or cancel them. Leaving a campaign means new donations will not accrue for you when your team plays.

Q: Can I rejoin a campaign after I have left?

A: You bet you can. You have complete control of your donations. You can leave or rejoin at any time. While you’re in the campaign your donations will accrue when your team plays.

Taxes Payments

Q: Do I need a receipt for my taxes?

A. Donations below $250 do not require a tax receipt, however, the "charitable donation record" email you receive from us after you make an automatic payment of any size acts as your receipt. In addition, at the end of the year we also produce a full report of your donations and contributions. Look in your ScoreSide dashboard in January and February and there will be a link to your End of Year report for the previous year.

Q: Do I need to add a payment source at signup?

A. No. But it’s best to add one as soon as possible so donations can be processed after campaigns begin.

Q: When does my credit card get charged for donations?

When your donation amount for a particular charity crosses above $25 and all triggered donations inside the amount is at least 3 days old, your donation will be processed during our daily donation processing and you will get your email notification of your donation. You accruing total is reset to $0 and will start building again during the next game.
